Louise Oligny is a Canadian photographer and videographer born in 1963. Oligny, who has lived in France since 1989, has worked for several magazines like Le Point, Le Monde 2, VOD, Elle, Libération, L’Express, and Geo, among others. Her projects involve photography, video, and musical compositions that question the world around her. Her project on health care in Paris suburbs, Médecin dans les cités, was presented at Visa pour l’Image Photography Festival, and in 2005, her work on football in Paris suburbs was exhibited at Les Rencontres D’Arles. In 2010, the American University of Paris exhibited her work on musician Archie Shepp. She published her book, Aération du prolétaire, in 2004. (Photo shot in Baghdad, Iraq, 2012.
