Gabriela Bhaskar is a freelance photojournalist based in New York City. Her work has taken her all over the world including Singapore, Indonesia, India, Ghana, Spain, and Peru. She reports on social justice, policy and women’s issues in the US, West Africa and Southeast Asia. She has been published in the New York Times, Reuters, the Guardian, the Atlantic, Conde Nast Traveler India and more. Bhaskar is a 2018 Women Photograph Mentee, participated in the 2018 New York Times Portfolio Review, and was a 2017 Overseas Press Club Foundation Scholar. She is a graduate of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She also holds a B.A. from U.C.
